IMO this should be front paged! Ive seen Fake videos and that cant be faked (unless you had a debug PS3 )!You should be careful going on PSN with a XMB modded up like that, Im sure sony can check and ban for that kind of thing, they can probably do a check on any file remotely or very easily update the firmware to do so.

Well no, I did use the debug vsh.self, I'm not sure where you got that from. I was showing how the xmb would look/function with my "Debug Settings" enabled FW 4.00 along with your XMBFM. Sorry for the confusion. Like I said before:

The Debug Settings in my FW are as functional as the Debug Settings in Rebug's CFW. This is because the system is not flagged as a debug console.

Ok, Great, thats even cooler. I was just assuming it wouldnt run like that on 4.00 after the whole rebug thing I thought Sony would have locked the two different FW sprx/selfs down with different keys , they fact that they havnt done that is a major hole! nice one!

Can you confirm that you can install retail pkgs with Rebugs package manager?? That would also be BIG news in my opinion. Even if yoyu can install Debug pkgs it would be cool. Which nas_plugin.sprx are you using, debug or retail. I think this will effect how the pkgs must be signed but im not 100% sure?

This mean devs can look for exploits in debug sprx/self files if they install on retail 4.00, this is a big plus for the scene too, its like having twice any many files to find an exploit in in theory!

So I took on the role on making the port for FW 4.00 and after posting it on that thread I integrated it into my firmware. So now I've upgraded my firmware mod and put into a .pup. Here's some new installation instructions(much shorter, I know isn't great): 1/Be on a firmware 3.55 or less 2/Install the .pup through the XMB (Make sure you have a working hardware flasher as there is no other way to downgrade) Remember this will NOT ALLOW you to run homebrew. And you can only downgrade from this if you have a Hardware flasher like the E3-Flasher.

I know some people experimenting with the dev_flash have said that the nas_plugin.sprx is repsonsible for installing package files on later firmwares. My firmware uses the retail nas_plugin.sprx, as I didn't need to change/replace it to enable "install package files"(and variants). Although I'm not sure about what nas_plugin.sprx does.

How did you guys get this to work on firmware 4.00? I cant downgrade to 3.55 because my PS3 slim came with firmware 3.65 already installed.
