I scratched my Yakuza 4 =(

Hey guys!

I'm VERY careful with my games, i mean, VERY xD
But i was cleaning my Yakuza 4 blu-ray (with a soft cloth that i always use), and somehow the disc got 2 scratches... they're not that big, but every time i look at it my soul dies a little =(

I think they are superficial, i installed the game again and played for a bit, and its all ok.
But, my question is: can superficial scratches render the game unplayable?
i'm sorry if its a dumb question, but i have to ask it.

ps: i'm NEVER cleaning my discs again =P

Bottom or top of disc?
If the scratch is on the bottom, any good dvd- or cd- rental store can buff off those scratches with a machine.

Just be sure not to scratch the top area. the bottom coat of the top area, is where the data is.

It's on the bottom on the reflective surface, 2 scratches. They seem superficial, because i scratched with a soft cloth, doing very soft movements.
I played it a bit and its fine, but dunno if in the middle of the game some problems may surface =/
Not a big deal i guess.

thx for the reply!

I'm on ofw 4.0 =P
But the game installed fine when i started the game. So i don't think the scratches reached the data part.

The 'bottom' is separated from the top part, by around 2mm of plastic. The top part is say, 0.5mm of chemical layer, then the disc logo and stuff is printed on top. They can buff off say 0.002 mm from the bottom and get rid of these scratches. Many rental stores do this, and second had stores do it a lot. If the disc still plays fine, i'd say to leave as-is.

This is the answer I give to anybody calling me a pirate for using a backup manager. I'm really tired of something like this happen and cause me to pay again money for the same game with a tottal cost the amount of half money of a console. Isn't it a pitty? It happened to me way too many times, one accident, moving houses, a cloth that has something on it I haven't noticed and so many other countless possibilities...

Yeah, it would be nice if i could install to the hdd without the need to use the blu-ray again. But unfortunately i can't =(
But the scratch is very superficial, i instaled the game and the instalation went fine. These disks are very durable, so i heard.

Yeah lol. When i saw the scratches i died a little. The disc is brand new. I just finished it (excellent game btw), and was wiping the dust to put it back in the box and somehow it scratched. But its all good.
I'm very neurotic about these stuff, glad to know i'm not the only one xD.
