A little of track here but please bear with me.My brother is also keen to run cfw kmeaw 3.55 but he has read that going from OFW3.40 to CFW3.55 can give you RLOD.Is this true?

if i was you update from ofw 3.40 to ofw 3.55 then to your cfw.
it will be ok.

kmeaw has just patched sony ofw
if you are on 3.40 just install sonys original 3.55 wich you can find on this site
and then download kmeaw 3.55 and copy over sonys 3.55
