Hi i have a ps3 with 3.73 firmware and i would like to know if there is any possibility to jailbreak this version. Thanks

You might as well update to version 4. There is no benefit whatsoever to having a 3.55 cfw these days IMHO. If you want to play games on your PS3 wait for hell to freeze over before someone cracks 3.60+.

Put it this way, for all the so called devs out there with talent, we've only seen a few good homebrew programs that are worthwhile on custom firmware. And with NO progress with the latest keys for over 12 months now, the entire PS3 scene is dead in the water.

I've been offered to swap my 3.55 PS3 for a JTAG'd xbox360, and decided in December that come February 1st I'd take up the offer if the scene hadn't moved on (ie: being able to play the last 6 months of games finally), but it hasn't. So it looks like in the next 5 days I'll be able to play most of the new titles released on both consoles on the 360. Because on the PS3 if it's on custom firmware, you quite simply can't.

I respect your opinion but i prefer to return 3.55 cfw to play hacked games.

you mean games released before last August though, don't you? I can count the number of newer titles capable of being played on 3.55 after that date, on one hand.

nope. you can only hack 3.55 and below. as the LARGE bar on top says..
you can downgrade it , but you need a flasher ( about 100$) , some soldering skills and commen sence

im guessing the ps3 came with this firmware and is a model 3000 and you WILL NOT be able to downgrade..

you could always learn c++ and use the resourses around you and make one your self! lol ROFL sorry im just trollin . but forreals.... you cant do anything with that ps3 if its cech3000 + you might as well update. and hope for the homebrew enabling exploit that Kaks suppose to be working on......
on top of that . im guessing you want CFW for back ups.... even if Kaks releases his method it will not have the ability to run any back up managers.... if your lucky you might get Snes9x or showtime . even then ... i have my doubts
