im sorry ur logic is... well non existent!!!! people have been like a bunch of rabid dogs in the scene. Trying to score a buck left right and center. all the other dude was saying was its nice to have a dev who isnt a total leech contributing to the scene. no one would sell a raw sdk on a dongle but he could hav developed it and made a pretty penny. |

lulz at the crying bastards over at PS3Crunch, they really need to take their mommies dicks out of their asses.
It is understandable though from the official True Blue forum, the funny thing is the f*ggots seem to think that we are upset because we cant pirate our games for free, b*tches please, we like to buy our games, we dont live at home with our mommies, we have familes, jobs etc and can still manage to buy our games. Its a shame they care more about pirating games, than caring how detrimental these type of devices are for the scene, though as the majority of them seem to be around 13, thats understandable. |

Did anyone notice the thread was going perfectly fine without any possible rule violators until the "anti-true blue" crazies showed up. Can we say thread derailment and trolling? I came back to see how the conversation was going to find it full of discourse....

Your SIG picture doesn't make sense. You support a free and open market. And yet you have obviously bought a PS3 possibly a second controller - Couple games, Oh wait a game that came free with the PS3? - And a dongle or 3. How free and open is that dongle you use? ![]() @El Nomeo Thank you for your efforts, I will be looking forward to see what others do with this. Its a shame i have a bandwidth cap or i would be all over it like a fat kid on cake.

I support a free and open market to sell and distribute products, services, software, etc ... without harassment and discrimination. This includes purchasing products for money or obtaining homebrew software for free. I'm sorry you did not understand the short sentence (limited space, etc...) It is up to the creator to charge money or not and up to the consumer to purchase if money is required. Personally, I would love a "free" TrueBlue .HEX file for all of those old purchased and non-purchased dongles from the 1st day the PS3 was exploited, but that isn't the case. This is why I am excited to see news like this SDK. Even though I won't be downloading I hope developers learn what they can about 3.7 stuff and hopefully can help the scene (for free = always better). I also do not own a single Dongle nor plan on purchasing one unless it wasn't restricted to playing a select few 3.56+ games. Please reply via PM so we aren't derailing the thread. I think some of you forgot about RealTechVR. Remember that group of devs that actually purchased the PSP SDK back then? They used it to make homebrew for the PSP like the demo for No Gravity, and fresh and eyeliner etc. They had the most professional looking homebrew games that were available at the time for PSP CFW.
So, with that being obvious, they aren't the only ones that would do that. I fully support the idea of getting the SDK legitimately and still providing free homebrew. Or maybe that's just me.

Hopefully with the documentation included we will see a lot of gained knowledge in regards to utilizing the rsx to its full potential, maybe a welcome update the pslight toolchain too.
For the record, this leak is exciting for me not in regards to games/cfw/keys but for the information it holds and the potential for exciting new homebrew projects. Full speed mkv full HD showtime for example would be nice for many Free information is a goldmIne and the docs are the prize here IMO instead of selective information being released as and when people deem it on a "need to know" basis. Its sad to see some members over there classing this information and tools as useless. Lets not forget what was gained after the old sdk was leaked. If nothing else, this may give devs a spark of interest again in a dying scene

I concur. It would be nice to see the emulators picked up and new ports of other less mainstream consoles being supported, new GUI's added, etc ... I can't code for crap, but I can do graphic design and anyone who needs a nice polished GUI for an emulator can feel free PM me.

Could this be used to get a working DOOM 3 port to the PS3?

I did forget the PSP! How dare I! The PSP and NDS are about tied for homebrew that actually does more then just "beeps" at you. Lots of finished games, ports, demos, emulators, multimedia players, etc ...
One must remember how much a PS3 cost compared to a Wii, NDS or PSP. A major reason there are less "devs" is they had no interest to begin with due to it's high price and ability to run Linux and the ten of thousands of apps, games, etc .... that Linux can run. With a drop in price and an open SDK I was hoping to see more native homebrew, but again the ability to install Linux is playing a factor in the lack of need for basically anything you want. You can play full res major bitrate MKV in mplayer using a USB install of Linux, play some multiplayer games, code stuff, surf web, etc etc ... Anyway, curse me for not mentioning the PSP. I still use my 1000 on a regular basis. |
