Another Noob question

I just got my first ever PS, got it as a gift. Not much of a gamer, but heard of jail breaking to access backup games.

Got a ps3 v 3.66 and wondering if this version can be jailbreak.

In order to install custom firmware (which you'll need to play backups) you need to have a Firmware lower than 3.56. You can downgrade, but you need to have a console that came installed with 3.55 or less (from what I understand).

That is one answer, but in your case you need to use a flasher, again search the forums you will find all the info you need

Thanks for the info, spend the last 2 hours reading through some of the thread mentioned about E3, all alien language to me and seem complicated.

At least found out my ps3 has wireless connection, I think.. lol, last time I turn on the system is when I first hook it up and that's over two months ago. I'll check on Craigslist if someone can do this.

Are you looking for someone to downgrade the system for you? If so, and if you have a fat system, I may be able to help you out with that.
