can someone explain me the factoryservicemode ? is it the same as the one who we need to hold the power button down for a while ?

its a mode where sony use to downgrade firmwares but sony blocked this after 3.55
and it isnt the one your thinking of i still beleive if graf was around we would of seen this on 4.00 by now

They blocked the dongles in 3.55, the mode itself is probably there because official Sony techs may need to use it.

This is why dongles do not work on 3.55 and the mode can still be entered on later firmwares, but people cannot get out of it without a flasher.

There was a some testing done from another site where you need PSP connected to a PS3 using this tool. The PS3 detected the PSP USB, which is a good thing, since Sony block all dongles above 3.56. The booting up the ps3 took some time but this could lead to get back into factory service mode on FW 3.56+. Good for those people on 3.56+ that wants to downgrade 3.55 without using a flasher. I hope this is correct theroy and not misleading the information.
