You forgot this step?

(4) If you are running the sample for the first time, you need to convert the DonkeyTrader artwork
into platform-specific assets. To do this, run the appropriate conversion batch file for your chosen
platform:
• For the Windows platform, run either
Media/DonkeyTrader/ConvertDonkeyTraderAssetsToGL.bat or
Media/DonkeyTrader/ConvertDonkeyTraderAssetsToGLx64.bat.

PC Config. :XP pro, VS 2008 - SP1, DirectX SDK 9-10,...

1) for the SDK: it's ok (i just uninstalled the SDK manager, extracted the offline .exe and it worked)

2) for Phyre Engine: when i run the LevelEditor (in Tools), it still try to run the "ThirdPersonGameTemplate.exe" at start, but hangs on... i have a debug message from vs8 that i ignore, but then in LevelEditor no way to create/edit a new level (green button). Even importing .dae models gives hanging bugs...

So i tried loading a sample (from Samples) directly from VS8, chosen the Win32Relase and played it ==> it build all ok without any errors, but the rendering window "ThirdPersonGameTemplate (GL) " hangs on too.... Is it due to a graphical power or ???

Thanks dude for help
Yeah, it may be due to your graphics card, but those other errors are odd. The only other things i can think of buddy is to see if there is an upgrade for your graphics card driver.

Or try reinstalling phyreengine now that the SDK has settled abit more.
Or try installing Visual Studio redistributables (long shot, but i have nearly have all on my PC for other development).

The other answer maybe PhyreEngine is not supported for XP. I shall be acquiring PhyreEngine 2.70 (release not for awhile) which is an older version, ya never know that may support XP.

If i think of anything else i shall let you know.

EDIT:
From the Document: PhyreLevelEditor_Users_Guide_e.pdf:
Prerequisites
The following are required to run PhyreLevelEditor on a system that does not have Visual Studio
installed:
(1) The .NET Framework Version 2.0.
(2) The Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Package.
(3) The latest NVIDIA® Cg Toolkit .

Check you have No. 3 and 2

Not a bad idea, although i didnt need to do this but definitely worth a shot.

If you think pc specs, I have a laptop 2ghz c2d, 3gb ram, and quatro nvs140 (comparable to geforce 8400) so not a rocket of a pc and it works just fine. It will probably stop when I get to coding :D

By the way, space station demo.exe also doesnt run for me, only "ThirdPersonGameTemplate.exe" and only now that I compiled/run it from vs for one time.

About the OS? i'm under XP pro SP3...: are you under XP too, or Seven ?

In which order to install: first the SDK, then we copy the "Phyre Engine" in C:\ and run the "PhyreInstaller.exe" ??

Did you set any Environnement Variables too (SCE_XXXX) ?

Did you try to run any generated .self on a cfw3.55 PS3 (guess with help of GUITools repack ....) ?

Thanks

By the way: the PSP2 Plugin kind of Error, that comes everytime when launching LevelEditor, is because we have to add the PSP and PSP2 Libraries during the SDK install. Yes, you have to SELECT "Full install on Local disk" on the 2 red crosses when the SDK is at one of the "PRO_DG" lines during its install process

I assume that I need a debug console to send any stuff from PC to PS3. Will this http://www.ps3hax.net/2011/09/releas...tail-to-debug/ do the trick and change my retail to fully operational debug station?
