But how are they still able to fix new games? If I was into programming this would really motivate me to figure out what they're doing, is it really possible that no person in the world is smart enough to do that?
It's called: 'Stealing as much as Debug eboots as possible' via the Dev Network.

Looks like they have access to the NAMCO dev network judging they got TEKKEN + SOUL CALIBUR eboots. Let's see if they get more NAMCO eboots in the future

I just read that the fixes aren't even released. They are just "listed" but not released!
Can you say "fail"? I know I can.
i have 2 versions:

1) production of listed games was started so long ago that somekind of old coding and etc were used, and it made them possible to be cracked by TB.

2) TB team will never release such anticipated games as FF13-2 for free, only on their Blue ray discs for additional payment.

If we assume the eboot theory is the correct one, how is it possible that nobody figured who/where they are? And if those eboots aren't that well protected (because they obviously aren't if a group of people can get them just like that over this time period and remain anonymous) how come nobody else in the world can leak them without worrying about consequences?

We all know that GaryOPA knows who is behind the device and there are a sh*t load of people with access to these dev accounts.

Anyhow this thread is in the True Blue section, meaning these posts are throwing it off topic/derailing, if you wish to discuss it, you are more than welcome to join IRC irc.ps3sanctuary.com

Thats a lie. That will never happen. And a n00b like you knowing anything about this is just pure comedy

Telling people they have to PAY for a fix is the most derailment of a thread I have ever seen.

Sorry about that, didn't mean to derail the thread, just thinking out loud.

At this point, since we cannot decrypt the TB eboots, we do not know what they are doing. So in a way, this DRM crap from them also protects the TB team itself. Sure, we can't use those eboots without dongle, but we also can't decrypt them ourselves.

Debug eboot is a theory, the other one is that they just have the 3.keys from say, a ram dump, and are just re-encrypting eboots with an added layer of protection.

Whoever designed the dongle protection did a good job, even if i don't like the whole pay-to-play pirated dongle crap.

He is actually telling the truth, there are some games that you have to buy from TB creators, they sell them on lightake, so less of the insulting, especially when you are wrong.
