Neither myself or my Uncle had ever played any Metal Gear games in our lives and we both really enjoy MGS4
![]() It's a great, but very in depth game. And some excruciatingly long cutscenes :P but well worth the play. I've come to really like the Ratchet and Clank games. Haven't played All for One though because of FW restrictions.

) so if you haven't done it already, you should really give them a go. MGS1 is available on PSN (and torrents), also MGS2 and 3 were recently re-released in a HD collection for the PS3.This is also the first time that I hear somebody saying something nice about MGS4 without ever playing the previous games. I played it 7 or 8 times and I really loved it but people who know nothing about the previous games usually don't. Where I see a great soldier and the final chapter of his life coming to an end and completing the story, others see an old emo fart pondering on meaningless crap. So you kinda just made my day, thanks for that.

Metal Gear 4 -
is a must play for any ps3 owner, but its very story heavy so if you didn't play the 3 previous games you'll be kinda lost. But is an AWESOME game. Uncharted 1,2 and 3 - This is how you make a third person shooter. Excelent gameplay, excelent story, Drake is such an awesome dude. And an underrated gem, Folklore: An action RPG/mystery game. It makes good use of Sixaxis. My favorite game for the ps3 hands down.

Brutal Legend is an awesome game. Online sucks, which makes it a perfect CFW game. Single player has 3 difficulties, start on the lowest if you have never played a game like this (if you've played Batman Arkham Asylum/City, then it's pretty much the same genre). It's a metal themed game.

Though I have not played UC3 yet, Both UC1&2 were fantabulous. I did not want to put those games down at all. Very fun games and still good to replay. The story too was very well put together.
And Brutal Legend, ahh that game was just great because it was metal themed. Some of the fighting elements in the game were tacky and boring but it was still fun to bang out to. That's why I haven't started in with MGS4. I think I made it to the 2nd chapter or so before I made the final move to turn it off and vow to play the first 3 before the 4th. My uncle has played through it so many times, and he's never been any kind of console or PC gamer ever. And he's 55 years old..loves the game. I will definitely give the first 3 a run through. I'm just unsure (never bothered to look up) if MGS is PSX or PS2. May need to borrow a ps2.
His age really adds to the ... coolness? of the way it plays too. I can't wait to get into it or play the first few.

Not sure if Dirt 3 was mentioned or not but if you can handle the load times it can be quite fun. Dirt 1 and 2 are both on ps3 as well I believe.
ratchet and clank - All 4 One, A Crack in Time, Tools of Destruction jak and daxter - Jak and Daxter Collection rayman origins sonic - (lots of games) I haven't tried any of the above but those series' are usually popular with kids. There's a bunch of emulators for old systems too like NES, SNES, gameboy advance, etc. Obviously the graphics won't appeal to him as much as the ps3 games but they have huge libraries of games for all age ranges.
