thanks for clearing that up, I always wondered whether modding eboots was legal or not.

And I can now double down on my point that other CFWs dont receive any of the vitriol that TB does. How many people here can honestly say that they've never installed a fix for a game on 3.55?

You know what i find funny ,i think TB has now used another part of the scene release the factory service mode ".self " file, from what i read on that site. I wonder why they need to use the scene released stuff ,when they are supposedly in control of everything ,lol No flaming just saying . Also for the first post ,dont do it. It cant be that bad to not play a new game ,there are so many good games out there .just cause a game is new there is always hype about it cause it is NEW ! I have a OFW PS3 & i still don't give 2 ships about new game no more. I will wait till the drop then snatch em.

I say don't do it also.

I bought a ylod ps3 for $30 and reflowed it myself. After buying no clean flux and artic silver 5, that's still cheaper than a True Gay dongle.

Being on a ps3 hacking forum, I dont think too many people here are worried about playing online.

I honestly dont even think alot of TB users are buying those discs, especially since its already been said that eboots would be released for them.

I think I forgot to mention, but I did have a 40gb fat ps3, (bought from a friend for £90) and had been using it for LBP online and stuff, until it got YLOD, I fixed YLOD, started playing uncharted 3, then the YLOD just kept coming back, it's £37 for the TB dongle why are people saying '£57' and '£50' ??

This thread has got me thinking, I did get a patched version of AC revelations on PC, but it kept on crashing, recently found its my graphics card, the think is I prefer playing non-intensive games like AC on my PS3, (sit on the sofa, relax, large tv screen)

I'm not going to spend another ~£100 on a new PS3, i don't want the whole YLOD thing happening :/

This thread has really confused me. I get both sides of the story :/

Not all eBoots are released.
Why do you think the TB devs got so upset over the supposed method of ripping these disc's ?
