Yeah and if you start an account up on the 360 and select Silver/free it will say you qualify for a free month of xbox live gold then just enter either a credit card # (can be a prepaid) or a paypal account and you get a full month of online play. If you do not want to keep it just make sure you call and cancel the renewal. Also if you watch the ads on the 360 they will offer month for $1 or 2 months for $2 something along those lines. I know at one time I had a gold membership for 6 months for around $7.

well, my recomendation is:
if u are thinking to playing online game, in this moment is better to go for a xbox360,
for ps3 you need to wait for a new cfw, but you need to know that sony likes to play the game "cat and the mouse" with the devs (so this is a huge let down, think twice).
but if u dont care playing online at all go for a ps3, they got a lot of exclusive hardcore games likes, MGS, Uncharted, God Of War 3, Gran turismo 5, some RPGs, etc. they got more variety than the xbox360. If I'm not wrong the only exclusive hardcore game that I know that the ps3 have are HALO, Gear of War, I don't know if the have more.
And last recomendation if u are thinking to play FPS go for a pc with a good grafic card...

3.2 GHZ Xenon ( 3 dual threaded cores )
512MB GDDR RAM 700 MHZ (Shared with video RAM)
Most XBOX games are at the most, 720p

PS3 Hardware:
3.2 GHZ Cell Processor ( 7 Single Threaded cores, plus one backup core)
256MB XDR RAM 3.2GHZ ( 256mb of XDR running at 3.2GHZ is much faster than 512mb(minus what the gfx are using) running at 700MHZ)

having fast ram does not make up for lack of it, you can not use what is not there
and technically the 360 has 522mb of ram as the vid card has 10mb
also i just looked at all my 360 games say 1080p
also unless you are using your game console as a pc the cpu does not matter, i also find it funny that even though the ps3 has a faster cpu and ram the xmb is so sluggish

Hi, just a quick question, is the rgh available for all 360 that have hdmi? let's say i go out tomorrow and want to buy a brand new.. would i be able to hack it? (i'm afraid of doing something like buying a ps3 cech3001-a/b and could not hack it hehe) thanks for any info about this .

once they update the hack it will support the new mobo, but for now it supports up to the trinity ver of the slim, look for a build date before aug of 2011

Oh, thanks alot man, i see that the new one is "Corona" i will try to dig more info about this, just in case is there a good possibility to get a trinity one when you buy one of those blundes like the ps3 that still use the 3.55 firmware? thanks.

Anyway to you look at it the PS3 is the better choice hardware wise, but you don't get a gaming console just because of the hardware you get one for the games and games in the scene sense has been slugged as people who have CFW cant play their games (original disc) and reduces the number of game titles playable. The Xbox hardware wise is still a beast of a machine, scene is good (at least from what I hear) and their game library is more vast as in playable to not playable ratio (not sure if their game library is in total larger then PS3s but considering its was a year ahead of PS3 there is a good chance).

If you are in it for the games get an Xbox 360 Slim. I hate recommending people get a Xbox over Playstation (My fanboy level is rising, lol) but I'm not going to lie to you, I'm honestly going to say the 360 is the better choice for games for you.

The Cell Last I checked does multi-threads on each core, I might be wrong though. XDR is indeed faster as it does more per cycle but like mentioned whats the point in it being fast if the applications(games) you run are thirsting for more?
