to be honest i wouldn't think they intended just to get this working, but because they updated the browser with html5 or what ever it is. has resulted in the site working on ps3. doubt its a set up like lol. if thats the case Sony would just release new TOS were they can monitor what you access on the browser.

i for one am very grateful they finally updated there **** browser to something some what usable if needed. at least its not taking 5 minutes some times to load pages lol

the reason it works is that they enhanced the html5 support of the browser, not dropbox specifically.. but wouldn't dropbox make it possible to get homebrew (which is signed with older keys) up onto the PS3.. hmm.. I guess not, otherwise regular filedownload would also work.

Well, you can already could download files on the PS3 web browser (Something like HFS server). Dropboxing to the PS3, you'd only be able to choose certain folders you can download to. Yes, you can copy pkg files, but there's be no way to install or run them on newer ofw.

useless

Wow, another useless feature! First it was removal of Alternate OS, 3-D support, constant bugs, and now this! Let's all update from our 3.55 CFW to 4.10 just to use dropbox on another device!

In all seriousness who would possible use this?As for me, I only use my Ps3 for media playback now, so accidentally updating to 4.10 wouldn't be that bad (after I curse my head off).

+1

The Cloud is a great way to monitor people, at last to facilitate their work
