Hi im new to this forum and the ps3breaking but i can only say i really like this site and i got lots of info and help.

So i got a E3 flasher in my Ps3 3004a running on firmware 3.66 and cant get lower than 3.65
And i can only do the dump not downgrade with my E3 like everybody knows...

So after playing around with the flasher i got some really happy reading on my tv...

I booted up the recovery menu and used E3´s Flashfun function and restored my dumped bios and then in recovery menu i choose system update, now it asked me to insert a usb with 2.50 or higher not 3.66...

Welcome to the forums.

That's the 1st I've heard of that, I wouldn't risk trying to put any OFW lower than 3.65 on it. As you already know, you have the unhackable PS3.

i tried to put the 3.55, got the corrupt data message, but i cant stop wonder why it asks for 2.50 after the dump recovery...

maybe because your ps3 is broke cos u have got the new unhackable/undowngradeable , as its the 3000 models

recovering with your dump should ask for the fw it was on
in no way it should even ask for 2.x or even 3.5x
this can't be as te dump is made from a higher fw

just install the fw you where on and it should work again

My ps3 is working...

Yes did my dump on 3.66, im still on 3.66 working and playing.

If i boot into recovery menu and press sys update ask for 3.66 or higher...

But if i do the flashfun with e3 before pressing sys update it ask for 2.50 or higher.

(used my own dump made with e3)

Those ps3's are UnHackable because they wont allow the 3.55 Firmware. I dont know the details, but thats why.
If you went out and bought the e3 flasher, I suggest you trade you ps3 for an older model or wait for the next CFW

Yes i know i cant get lower than 3.65

But still, it asks for 2.50

im just asking why?how?

what i think he means is , eg if u got your ps3 on 3.61 and u update to 3.65 u wont be able to downgrade back to 3.61 . with you ps3 its not just about u cant go lower to the factory fw u cant downgrade at all . i dont think if u update to 4.10 u could downgrade to 3.65 because the 3000 ps3 is undowngradeable

Yeah i know its undowngradeable and unhackable, but im still going to keep playing around with the flasher and try some hexing
