Out of Range in HDMI to DVI connection

Hi

I connected HDMI to DVI to my monitor and AV cable to my TV.

I did reset by pressing the PS power button till two beeps, after that it says " new HDMI detected for sound and video " I selected "YES" .

My monitor showing " out of range 67.3 kHz/60 Hz"

What to do

PS: this is my monitor http://www.lg.com/us/monitors/lg-W20...specifications

What resolution is it trying to do? Maybe try manually setting it instead of having it automatically detect it. It looks like your monitor can only go up to 720p.

browsed forums and found something that may be related
If you had the PS3 set up for 1080i or p it will not work on your monitor unless it's a 24" monitor.
as i can see u have only 20". Although i use 23" dell and it works fine. Maybe u should somehow change ps3 to 720p on another tv/monitor.

that's all i can say.

don't goto yes when it detects the hdmi. it should keep it on 480i/p and then you can set resolution manually.

Hi

1. As I said earlier, I am connecting TV (Non HD) and Monitor together to ps3
2. TV with AV cords and Monitor with HDMI to DVI cable.
3. I am pressing the ps3 power button till 2 beeps.
4. Then my TV shows " A new HDMI device detected select YES and NO "
5. If I select YES, my monitor flickers and shows "out of range" message .
6 If I select No then nothing happens and ps3 runs on my TV as usual .

regards

If I select No then ps3 runs on my TV , because I am not selecting HDMI device ie Monitor.

I want to play ps3 on my monitor not on TV like I am playing now.
