@Honcho ^ a little harsh don't you think? You may say that about her because she was pretty much thru making music when her addictions really started affecting her life maybe the drugs affected her ability to make music. But to say who cares another smack junkie dead is a f'ed up thing to say. I loved John Belushi and Chris Farley 2 of the greatest comedians ever in my opinion. Yeah we can watch back their work whenever we want to but I think about all the things they would have done and we have not seen.

Chris Farley has always been sort of an idol/inspiration to me.

My most favourite movie (next to Beverly Hills Ninja) is Black Sheep. Some people say that Tommy Boy was better; I'm the opposite. The Chris Farley Show is a great read, but it's also kind of sad. Had me in a couple tears in parts. no /spoilers.

It's pretty rediculous how companies will cash in on a death. Sure there will be increased demand for a little while but if x amount of people are going to be going for it anyway, driving up the price is just greedy.

tldr: Read The Chris Farley Show & I only seem to have re-iterated what other people have said. I am a taco.

it is capitalism. i mean, if people are that way, willing to pay more just cause someone died, there's not much someone can do to stop them. nothing is really illegal...i remember when capitalism used to benefit the consumer, oh wait, JK

if a famous person dies from addictions its tragic and they are sainted, BUT when an ordinary person dies due to their addiction they were dirty and only had themselves to blame

its sad shes dead but the only difference between her and other junkies is the money she had.
i feel more sorry for the homeless junkies where drugs are their only way to escape the harshness of reality. they deserve sympathy more than the famous ones.
yes ive been there, done that, know the reality but i/others did not have the money for help or any real reasons to overcome it.
some of us got clean (ish), some died, (RIP) but none of us had the people/family the famous ones had to help them

oh and on topic, sony need to get a grip on reality.

note to sony.
maximizing profits of someones death?
i hope your competitors use your death as a way to make money

karmas a ***** and i hope shes on her period when she finds you

it's not just sony. they're a big media company, so it's easy to see them, but i mean abc, nbc, etc. have tv shows like a week later on someone who died just to get views.
that's what sucks these days, tv shows and movies pop out of nowhere with little thought just to make money. there was a 9/11 movie within like a year. hangover 2 came out just like 2 years after the first. does anyone really think it took them that little time to make hangover as funny as it was?
like i said, it's capitalism, so if it works and makes money, there's nothing to stop it. there has to be proof that maybe someone in the company killed her or something. a lil off topic, but i do love all the sympathy MJ got, even though i'm sure a week before it happened, most people thought of him as dirty child molester. people are weird and just wanna fit in...

There's always a "Death Tax" in the entertainment industry when someone dies. Just look at history. Sony isn't the first, nor are they the last.
