Thermal paste. Most likely the paste under the heatspreader, since that's hard to replace, and the person who reflowed your PS3 should have replaced the thermal paste on the heatsink.

Well telling someone to do that is a bit silly to be fair mate, some these people couldn't even bake a cake let alone a motherboard if you are that desperate to have an extra hour or two out of it fair enough I guess

Just get a cheap kit with heat gun and all in from ebay (25euro), and reflow it yourself. Did this a few months ago and still rockin' atm

Sure just go and tell him to bake it, then he'll move it and all the components will fall off or move, if you move any of the ps3 compenents whilst its still hot your more fked then when you started. And you never told him what degree celcius you need and for how long you must hold a heatgun/hot air station over each area that needs reflowing.

Btw if your going to do a reflow and your going to use the flux method then make sure its 'no clean flux' (You dont have to clean it off after applying) dont buy normal flux and use it on the board because it MUST be cleaned off after applying or it will eat away at the solder point pads, plus it would be hard to clean under the gpu and cpu :P
