Start with this: MinVerChk.rar to see what's the lowest firmware you can downgrade to. If it's not 3.55 or below, Enjoy PSN.  If it is...click here: http://www.ps3hax.net/showthread.php?p=263662 and start with: "How to downgrade your PS3 from 3.7x to 3.55"

This is probably a stupid question but my confusion comes from reading sooooo many posts on this subject... not necessarily and shortage in the grey matter...

I just bought a PS3... I haven't even played a game on it yet. It says the software is 3.72. From what I've been reading, am I right by saying the only way to jailbreak this unit is to buy the e3 flasher or ProgSkeet? To downgrade the unit to 3.55... then follow the noob guide? This is the only current way?

PS3 3.60 Jailbreak required
Hi Friends,
Last month i hv purchased PS3 with Move. The firmware version of PS3 is 3.60. i want to save downloaded PS3 games in to HDD. But for that i have to downgrade my PS3 V3.60 to v3.55. I am new to the play station system. Can any body help me how to down grade my PS3 V3.60 ?
