I am on the Proskeet products page... but it doesn't say anything about which kit to buy for the PS3, or downgrading or anything like that. I see that they have come out with a soilderless kit! I would like to purchase that. Anyway you can guide me a little? Thanks again!

You can use a solderless kit if you like. We have tutorials here. Just search progskeet tutorial or just progskeet. You'll see people post what they recommend and easy way to go. To be honest, I haven't used progskeet or any hardware flasher.

I was just told by someone in that live chat on proskeet site that the model I have is not able to downgrade. I have the CECH 3001B. Is this true?

I'm afraid it is. I believe you pa3 came pre installed with 3.72 which means that you can't downgrade lower than that. All 3k models are undowngradeable.

Thanks awsome n00b instructions for me! I just got a PS3 w/ old FW and am going to do this. Only thing you don't mention is how to play backups on DVD-R or BD-R? I know you can just have no idea how to do it.

For me I'll give it a go via PC transfering via FTP for now.
