Hey guys,

Just a little question, I currently run a jailbroken PS3 using Multiman, however I'm planning on upgrading and going back to playing new retail games. I wish to know that if I do this, will I still be able to run Multiman and use Showtime? As I've got many backed up movies that only play off that.

I believe if you try to run mm, you'll get an error. Because mm is signed with 3.55 keys and you'll be on 4.xx firmware.

Ok just as I thought, thank you! Massive pain as the video function on the PS3 sucks! But I'm bored of not playing new games and not playing online :/

Try reading up on Showtime alone. You can install Showtime without having mm. But I don't know if it works if you update. Search Showtime, there is a huge thread about it.

PS3 Media Server might be able to play some of your movies.

Thank you very much for the responses! I've ordered my new games so shall try out using Showtime and PS3 Media Server once they have come and I have updated.

Why not buy a true blue dongle? It'll let you play all the new games. (most of em anyway).

If you update to any firmware after 3.55 no homebrew apps will work (that includes Showtime, multiMAN or anything else).
