There's never been such a thing as an optional PSN update... or even a worthwhile one. I remember when I used my PS3 there was nothing I hated more than these updates.

Want ya cake and eat it thats the point. You can't have both on 1 machine.

You update to play online/get all the cool new features or get a 2nd machine. Keep 1 on CFW and one on OFW. Like I do, I have a UK 60Gigger(now 750Gb) and a Silm 120Gigger(now 750Gb).

It was minutes after the update was out!
I noticed it right after the update was out, when I googled PS3 4.11 to see the changelog, on the first page I see "transamgrafx 4.11 jailbreak". *facepalm*

I went to their site for the **** of it and clicked on the Benefits of Donating button and had a good laugh off of these "benefits":

What kind of benefits are those? LOL. More respect from members and staff? Okaaaaay?

Can't you have both on one machine with E3 and/or Progskeet?
I've always considered getting one but i do not have money. I think it'd be cool to go online with games but idk how i'll feel being held down to disc speeds again.

that's why i've stuck with cfw instead of going up to ofw. some games have almost no loading when you load from external or internal. i would love to play sky rim, arkham city, etc but i'd rather have all my back ups load in half/quarter of the time.
i don't play games for too long at a time too much, just every now and then, so load up times really bug me. some games don't see much of a difference, but not having to put the disc in is all that more convenient.
then again, if i was a CoD player or someone who joined in online game fads, i'm sure ofw would be a little more tempting but teens bother me along with the fact when you get a game late, it tends to be a little harder to get into an online groove. i'm more of a single player person going at my leisurely place enjoying everything the game has to offer, i.e., gameplay, graphics, atmosphere, dialogue, story, etc.

It is Thursday, 6:30PM I'm at the library where the YAB is inneffective due to proxies not working around the wifi authentication system they have, I am in the US, and am ONLINE with OFW 4.10

Not only is it not optional in the U.S., you actually have to accept the terms of service twice! When you install the update and then again to actually "sign in"

I had put a game on after the update and it actually made me quit the game and scroll to "network" then, "sign-in" and was prompted with the terms again.
