I'm interested how long the OP thinks this will last even if the oven method works. More than likely you're going to warp the board and then **** it up entirely.

Just pay to have the thing reballed. It wont cost more than 50 bucks and if done correctly, will last longer than the original lead free solder on the GPU that the factory used.
