My ps3 is still on OFW 3.41. Wondering if I should update it with this one? Is it possible to patch/update EBOOT files with ASTOOLS V2.2 so they work on 3.55 that this this CFW?

I am sorry if this is a stupid question , but can I flash this to my PS3 lim that came with 3.65 or do I still have to wait? I dont want to pirate games. I just want to play GT5 from the PS3's HDD.
