As far as I know there's a tool called MA Downgrader to downgrade via software from JFW 3.56. However you might need a 3.55 CFW with lv1 checks patched.
Also, as soon as there is QA flag extra, the downgrade via recovery is activated. However, I'm pretty sure that 3.56 will refuse any 3.55 or lower PUP even if it is QA flagged. That's why they released that tool.

System Update Debug

Allows you to enable or disable system update debug, which lets you to downgrade with official Sony update manager. Also allows easy firmware switching by storing a PS3UPDAT.PUP (can be renamed) in /dev_hdd0/updater/01, then another in /dev_hdd0/updater/02 etc. Then go to "System Update" > "Update via Hard Disk" and select the update to install.

found this http://www.ps3devwiki.com/wiki/QA_Flagging

you turn it on then do what it says

the reason why it should work on 3.56 is because sony didnt change the token till 3.60 fw

Right, I checked myself, can't find ANYTHING about MAD.
Also contrary to popular belief, you don't need to turn "system update debug" to on. I have it off all the time and I can downgrade anyway. As soon as you have QA flag extra, the option is enabled. But yeah I don't know if that would work on 3.56.

For downgrade from Rogero v2 to 3.50 I used qa_flag.pkg and qa_flag_extra.pkg.After U qa_flag Your console U should see two more setings in System Update. If U have qa_flag Your PS3 U should downgrade without any problems.
Code:
1. Install CFW355-OTHEROS++-SPECIAL.pup (Doesn't matter what version you are. 3.55 and lower ONLY.)
2. Install qa_flag_extra.pkg
3. Run qa_flag (It will show up as this, that is fine)
4. If you hear the beeps, continue. If you do not hear beeping, come to irc.
5. Reboot
6. Go into recovery menu and Update your ps3 with the firmware that you want (3.15, 3.41 etc)
7. have it install
This is example for 3.55 OtherOS but should works on JFW 3.56.

tired that already installing and running either qaflag or qaflag extra will not bring different entries

if anyone of whom already posted or just googled and found this thread and knows a solution, i am open to any new ideas as long as it wont require soldering as i am unable to do that
