Did you try and unbrick with the normal unbrick method from the e3 site. If your backup is from 3.73 it should stay at 3.73, when you unbrick.

Not yet. My ps3 was on 3.55 and brick there. I dont have 3.55 or 3.73 original dump, so i wanted to know if i can use the 3.73 dump from Pro.Hack (with e3 method or this tuto).

If you do not have a good backup bios for YOUR PS3, then I'm sorry to say you have a big, expensive paper weight.

Not true, yes you can use my dump and follow my guide step by step and if only if every move is successful you should able to do a full restore.

If you do not believe me look at the threads, many has encounter with similar and exacts problems as you, resulting in unbrick if followed right.

Mmm yes perhaps if you say it like that, but instead of trying to find flaws in my guide for you to dispute to get a hard on why don't you just do what it says and if it does unbrick your ps3. Well then I just saved you time and most of all money because now you dont have to buy another ps3 because of me and by the way your welcome.

Forgot to say one other thing, it is possible for you to unbrick without any of your own bios, assuming that the issue lies only in corruption of bios. Many are bricked for other cause and may result differently and all depends how you bricked in the first place.

Just flash the bios I put here and follow direction if you have issues private message me and Ill help when I can.
Know I am still in school doing Paramedic Clinical and class time so I'll try when I have time.

But i have some doubts. When you say "Ok now download my mod BKPPS3 which link is below and flash it to your console, once its done shut off ps3 and unplug it, move all switches to (PS3 mode) 1-6 down." The positions of switches to flash is the first up and rest down (2-6)?

Second, after upload e3_downgrade.bin (WITH your modified dump on SD card), can i put in factory mode with your bios flashed (i think that is 3.73 dump, right?)? I´m confused with this part of your tutorial, cause the dump is 3.73, not 3.55... so in theory cant put in FSM. Remember that i just want put the PS3 to 3.73 OFW and can´t see how can i do it without FSM.

Explain it better, if its possible.

OK once you successfully flashed my mod bios, unplug ps3 and put switches to set ps3 mode so you soldered wired to tristate isn't activated. Once done that turn it on and should have no hdd or video activity. If you have that then from there your golden. after you turned on ps3 I want you to flash that bios again, finished that successfully, now this is most important do not turn off ps3 after flashed the bios the second time leave it on, now put downgrade.bin along with the bios your just flashed and set switches to 000001 , 12345 down 6 is up and push reset buttons 3 times to make sure and push start. If done right it should be installing. If it still gives you error of not original ps3 code then I am sorry you will need to have a good dump of your own console.

There is other ways I know but I am not going to explain it, way too much.

Thx again. Lets see if i understood right:

1. Solder wire to tristate as e3 unbrick manual;

2. Put your mod bios on the SD card, select switch 1 to up and others to down (23456 - famous FLASH MODE) and press start to flash. Than unplug the power.

3. After that, put e3 to PS3 MODE, all switches down and turn on the ps3. No screen/sound or activite HDD. Thats mean that its ok until here;

4. Put e3 flasher on FLASH MODE for the second time and flash your bios mod again. When finished, DO NOT TURN OFF! LEAVE IT ON.

5. Put "e3_downgrade.bin" ALONG with the same bios, select switches to 000001, press reset 3 times and press start. ONLY HERE i can turn off/on the ps3.

After all and if I have luck, the ps3 will show something on the screen?

Can i will put in Factory Service Mode and copy a OFW 3.73+ with Lv2diag.self (FILE 1) to finish the process?

Sorry, but I´m still a little confused about FSM/OFW 3.73 (just this part).
