Look in the back of your ps3 it should say ceche3000(something like that, that's in the 3000) then you can't... To be more accurate, check out ps3devwiki.com and click on sku model. It'll tell you which ps3 is downgrade-able.

i jus downloaded this file now (PS3 jailbreak 4.10 PS3UPDAT.PUP [2012]) but it has a password on..is this fake? cause i jus saw on youtube now that this guy jb his 4.10fw...is this true?

There is a tutorial by @Annelies to unjailbreak your ps3. Search unjailbreak tutorial. It should pop up. I'd give you the link but I'm on my phone, sorry.
