Go ahead and buy the TB dongle. Its cheap, effective, and it will breathe a little life into your PS3.

smh @ buying a Xbox being an answer to any question on ps3hax. Im very disappointed in some of you folks.

I first landed on this site when I was told (early 2011) the PS3 was finally jailbroken for good and playing pirated games was now possible. At the time I was only interested in information about how the jailkbreak and backup managers worked, but by reading threads here I learned about the big scam Sony pulled with the removal of the other OS feature, I learned about Showtime, homebrew games, and many other things I now use on a daily basis, I learned I had to be grateful to all the devs who enabled those things, I started doing the best I could to "educate" people around me every time the media in my country talked bull**** about the DOS attacks against Sony...

I respect this site's policy not to condone piracy, not to post links to warez, etc..., but I believe you can play pirated games and belong here. And I'm positive that's the case for many of this forum's members, if not the majority. So please, I'm begging you, I don't want to start another piracy debate / flaming war here, but just stop with the patronizing, I'm sure I'm not the only one who's tired of it. And stop blowing off people when they look for information, even if the first piece of information they ask for is about piracy.

I just had a quick question... I just bought a 3.55 ps3 and returned back to the ps3 hackin scene. I bought the E3 card reader not really thinking and I think I'm gunna return it to buy the true blue. So my question is should i even bother with the e3 card reader for any reason, or just return it sense Rogero will work without a usb dongle?

If you ever plan on updating to the latest firmware, then downgrading with a flasher, I'd say keep it. You'll need that dongle to enter service mode on 3.6x+. Otherwise, it's useless to you.

Ok cool thanks. Yeah when i bought it i thought you still needed a usb dongle. Turns out you dont lol. But anyway i bought another ps3. One thats online 4.11ofw and a slim on 3.55 rogero. i lucked out and found a 3.50 on craigs list.
