Hey guys, am new to the forum, and need some help viewing and editing a pkg file.

Basically my plan is to mod zombies as some people have done but are keeping it a secret, and taking their vids of youtube so no-one else can do it.

I have the patches downloaded from store.brewology in pkg format.

Im on rebug 3.55.2 cfw on my jailbroken ps3.

I need to somehow edit the 1.13 patch, and replace one of the ff patch files from the 1.02 update.

I saw the video of them doing it on filezilla and on multiman, but both vids have now been taken down.

Btw im running windows on my laptop.

Am i right in thinking I can install the 1.02 update on my jailbroken ps3, use filezilla to connect to my ps3, get the patch I want, copy it to my laptop, then install the 1.13 update on my jailbroken ps3, then again connect via filezilla, and then edit and replace what I need to.

Is this possible?

Pkgview = View and Edit your .PKG files, I use it to extract 4gb+ psn games to my external.

It most certainly is, just right-click the .pkg file to extract it. cheers!

I cant seem to see whats in the pkg file still.

Im tryna extract them from pkgview but getting load of errors, saying it you press continue will try anyway, and if you press quit will quit program.

It should be, bro. Both .pkgs fully extracted. Yup, one at a time.
