can i back up my blueray from ps3 to pc? i know i can back other stuff but i need to know about this.I heard of the mm multifunctional tool,is this the only way or is there others?

You can but only games, has Video BD playback doesn't work on Any FW below 3.6x

yes i have 3.55 i ment blueray movies? i have two but ther loaned out was just wondering if i could back them up cause i plan on buying more

As far as I know bluray movies doesn't play on 3.55 FW thus could not able to copy them if ps3 doesn't detect them, neither in Multiman.

I think you meant to say "Some of the newer Bluray will not work as they include higher FW on the disc which is requred to play".

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 (or 2 can't remember) was the frist one I came across that wouldn't play without prompting me to update my ps3.

@dusthi9 , multiman has been able to do this for a while. It will still be encrypted so will need decrypting on your pc.

To be honest, it's not worth it. You may as well stick a BD drive in the PC and do it that way.

Thanks,but don't have bluray on my pc.What makes it so hard to ftp over to the pc? WHAT you can't play bluray movies on 3.55 cfw?

Its not hard at all but the files are still encrypted and will need to be decrypted on the pc.
Check the multiman thread for more info.

I dont bother using the ps3 to back up as I have a a bd burner in each of my pc's.

I think you can use a spoofer to get around the update issue on the newer bluray but I can't confirm that as I haven't tried it.

You talking bout bluray games or movies? You need a spoofer for bluray newer movies???
