u need to read the dump from the nor either with e3flasher or progskeet etc
then validate that dump to be good and see if it can be downgraded without actualling seein gthe dump noone can see if it can or can't

Summing things up...

The lowest firmware you can downgrade to is 3.56.

Even with a hardware flasher, you wouldn't be able to downgrade to 3.55.

The only CFW/MFW for your situation is 3.56 JFW. Even with you being on 3.56 JFW, you still will not be able to downgrade to 3.55 because your PS3's lowest downgradeable FW is 3.56.

like i have said some 3.56 factory consoles can be downgraded
u cant tell untill its been dumped and the dump looked at
if the bootldr and metldr is the right type then it can if its for instance metldr 2 then nogo

that model is compatible and downgradeable and you are missunderstanding the different versions of the e3-flasher.
There are 3 types of e3-flasher:

1. The nor one: The one you need because your ps3 is nor flash (you still need to buy screwdriver,esata station)
2. the nand one: this is for some fat models who have nand flash but you have slim so not interessed in nand.
3. the limited one: this is actually the nor edition but with the special srewdriver, esata station and an additional ps3 slim power switch included) but as there are only 3000 pieces made of limited its really hard to find one.

I would suggest finding an limited one because its much cheaper than buying the nor edition and buying esata and screwdriver.

This is totally untrue, min. downgradable praxis means the minimum version you need to be to be able to downgrade with a flasher you stupid!
