How to add "No Check" patch

i have a ps3 with e3 nor flasher installed, i buyed the jb2usb dongle. can i use the jb2usb cfw with the ps3 mfw builder to modify it into a REBUG cfw and add a "no check" patch into it, so i can use a REBUG cfw with the jb2usb dongle without to risk a brick after a downgrade.

if yes, can someone tell me is there a task that i can add to the ps3mfw app to insert the "no check" patch.

i founded a task in ps3mfw:
"Patch firmware for installation shop/promo unit" is this the task to add the "no check" patch?

sorry for my english!

Hmm the dongles use patched lv1, and patched lv2 if I remember correctly. I'm not sure at all though if you can do this with MFW Builder, making the JB2USB compatible with REBUG that is. I would be careful not to create a bad MFW and bricking your PS3. Best of luck.

You can follow the guide below to install rebug true blue edition. If you don't want to make one.

Sorry, Idk how to patch firmware. There should be some info here on how to somewhere though.

With my guide, you don't have to patch it though. After a QA flag downgrade to ofw, you can update to ofw3.55 then install any cfw you want with no patching.

That's what I'm saying. Did you take a look at the name of the guide?

I use the e3 flasher to downgrade to rogero no check cfw. Then qa flag and downgrade to a ofw via recovery. Then update to ofw 3.55 via xmb, then install any cfw you want via recovery.

The true blue rebug cfw is in the download pack along with all the files you will need.

If you are talking about EITHER Cobra or TrueBlue Dongles... unless you want to buy another dongle... Do *NOT* (I repeat, **DO NOT**) apply lv1 or lv2 Patches to their firmware and attempt to use the dongle with the resulting PUP.

You WILL brick the dongle.

However, should you choose to not head this warning-- Please do report back when you do. It will serve as a good place for me to point people to so that they can avoid a brick themselves after trying that. ;-)

(again, don't do it)

If by no patch check though, you are talking about converting a KIOSK to a retail console, then Yes. You create your pup with the "Patch firmware for installation shop/promo unit" option. apply THAT firmware. Then do your downgrade or installation of what ever firmware you are trying to use.

I recommend using OFW as the PUP you start with for that though, since I have not tried doing that starting with a rebug FW.
