how to disable software update notifications in Driver SF?

The thing is that I've downloaded this game as PKG, and it comes with a supposed update. Obviously that if I do update, it'll disable the game registration. I'm using kmeaw JB, on ps3, 3.55. I'm also having the same problem with FIFA 12! Any ideas on how to get rid of these annoying update notifications??

Thank you!

Easy just go to network settings and disable the wifi. You wont be seeing anymore update notifications then.

Yes edit the PARAM.SFO to say 0.9.99 & you will never see that again I just made my first packages & i put my Black ops zombies modded eboot.bin & PARAM.SFO & edited the PARAM.SFO from 0.1.09 to 09.99 & it installed perfect & the game data patch shows as v9.99 .. So if you just get a PARAM.SFO editor & edit the patch SFO it will go away ..

Yeah, Zombiekillah's option is best all-round because you sacrifice other features (like web browser, streaming video, game covers, multiman updates/themes etc) for something very minor by cutting off wifi.

FTP into your PS3 (Filezilla running on PC + Multiman on PS3), drag+drop PARAM.SFO's to PC, drag into HxD and change 1.01 to 9.99 and you'll never be bothered by it again..

They are located at : dev_hdd0/game/BL*S*****/PARAM.SFO - depending on the game. Or, just change the one in the full game's folder if it's a disk game.
