this update disabled my hdmi control for my playstation tv, both tv and ps3 have the option on, but when i turn on my ps3 like b4 the tv never turns on. like it did in firmware 4.10 or older.

I'm still on 4.10. I took my bros PS3 and mine to the library, and still logged in, no 4.11 nag update. Idk why but it's STILL not mandatory for me.

This update has indeed disabled the control for hdmi function. Here's hoping they issue a fix soon.

Sooo my question is should i just start buying my games or should i wait for cfw? Its been taking to long and Idk what to do buy or wait?

Is it possible to either downgrade or jailbreak this update? My laser just went out and I don't want to buy a new one so I figure I could just jailbreak my ps3 and play the backups of games I have. The problem is, I'm curious if I will be able to utilize Netflix once it has been downgraded. Then again, if I'm able to jailbreak said update, I should ok right?

downgrading all depends on what ps3 u got , eg whats the model number on the back of the ps3?.
what firmware u had on the ps3 when u brought it ?
did u buy it new or 2nd hand?

also if u are able to downgrade u wont be able to use netflix
also not all games will work with out a working drive .
