PS3Hax.net Forum Rules and Policies

The #1 rule you should consider is use common sense when posting. This is an online community with people of different ages, race, and backgrounds.

Everyone has different opinions and not everyone will agree with you. Be respectful of others, and you will have no problem here at PS3Hax.

1. No distribution of illegal files (aka warez). - Illegal files include, but not limited to PS3 game dumps, files made with official Sony SDKs, illegal debug firmware and internal Sony file leaks. First offense is a infraction, second offense is permanent ban from forums.

2. No harassment, insulting other members or devs (flaming). - We at PS3Hax welcome you to express your opinion, but there is a difference between arguing and debating with someone. Do not insult/personally attack any member or dev on these forums for any reason. 3 infractions and then its a ban on the forums. Repeat offenders will be permanently banned.

3. No Trolling. - Trolling is defined as posting something off-topic or offensive deliberately in order to aggravate other members, with the view to causing an argument. Members that reply (Fall for the bait) to the troll post will be dealt with in the same way as the troll. 3 infractions then ban on the forums. Repeat offenders will be permanently banned.

4. No Thread Derailment - Members making a post to deliberately to take a thread off topic will receive corrective action. This includes trolling and flaming. 3 infractions then ban on the forums

5. No posting of FAKE PS3 Custom Firmware/Hacks - This includes posting of all the fake youtube videos and files out there, if its real we will know first. This also includes the various scam websites out there that ask you to pay for features that are not possible. All the latest PS3 hacking information will be available for FREE on our front page.

6. No racist, and homophobic remarks. - PS3Hax is an accepting place but making openly racist or homophobic comments is not acceptable. The staff would advise members to keep these views to themselves instead of posting them in the forums. These remarks do not have to be targeted at a specific member of the PS3Hax community to be taken as an infractable offence. 3 infractions and then its a ban on the forums.

7. No "1337-speak". - Please keep the forums clean, this isn't an online game.

8. Use default font colors, and don't abuse smiley buttons. - We don't need random colored posts everywhere. You are allowed to use color posts to help emphasize or organize your posts, but don't exclusively post in say red just to stick out.

8. No Abusing the Report Button - Reports should be made without messages like "Mods do your job", "give this guy an infraction", "ban him already" etc. Reports should contain a sentence on why you have reported the post including what rule you believe it has broken. Additionally, posting too many reports in a short period of time where there is no discernible related rule breaking activity will see the reporter punished.

9. Do not post images any inappropriate content - No posting of anything related to porn, disturbing or offensive. 3 infractions and then its a ban on the forums.

10. No insubordination - The staff are simply upholding the rules for the benefit of the community. Disregarding their warnings/advice is considered insubordination and offenders will be disciplined accordingly. 3 infractions and then its a ban on the forums.

11. No advertisement of other websites, survey referral links, or URL shorting service with advertisements (like ad.fly). - Sourcing to other websites for news reference is fine. Do not post survey links or advertisement URL shortening services to post links on forums, information should be available for free not sending people to hell to get it. 2 infractions and then its a ban on the forums.

12. No posting of viruses/malware/keyloggers/harmful files to PS3 - Don't bring this crap here. Violators will be permanently banned on first offense.

13. No asking/complaining of CFW/keys in news threads/dev releases - Do not ask for 3.X keys or 3.X custom firmware on news posts, or PS3 homebrew releases where it has nothing to do with keys/CFW. All whining related to CFW/Keys requests should be contained here. 3 infractions and then its a ban on the forums. Repeat offenders will be permanently banned.


14. No starting "piracy" debates - We at PS3Hax do not allow the redistribution of warez/PS3 ISO's but we do allow the discussion and booting of these. As long as the person is not linking illegal files to download, he is allowed to ask us here on how to boot/modify/run the game. No hijacking member threads or general threads with piracy vs non pirate debates. Confine all discussion related to piracy vs non piracy here. 3 infractions and then its a ban on the forums..

We at PS3Hax are not here to abuse you, but to keep everyone in line with our forums norms' and keep this place the best place in the PS3 scene.

We offer all BANNED and users who receive an INFRACTION to contest there ban HERE. The entire PS3Hax staff (including me) will review your case and see if the moderator action taken against you was just.

If we feel the action the moderator took was not fair than the infraction/ban will be reversed. The PS3Hax staff has final say on all ban/infraction disputes.
