I just recently hacked my PS3 with Kmeaw CFW 3.55. After using multiman manager several games gave me a 80010017 error, and after looking in the game compatibly list i found out that these particular titles required true blue.

So let me get this straight... I either have the option to buy true blue to play these games, or wait for 3.55 patch to come out for them right?

Any information would be helpful!

These are your options:

• Buy a True Blue dongle
• Wait for a 3.55 EBOOT
• Wait for 3.60+ CFW
• Update to OFW

One day it will be available as it should be, free and unrestricted. I am one of the people that feel as though True Blue is a poison to this community. This group has taken knowledge that was made freely available by the devs of this community, and somehow locked it be proprietary. To make matters worse, they take this free information to SELL you their product. So the devs do all the hard work without thought of reward, only to have people take that free and open information and sell it back to you. I really do not understand how people do not see it that way. I do not hold it against anyone that wants to play newer games. The people that do support True Blue just want to play newer games, but at the same time they are supporting another enemy as low life as Sony.

If you were to get a True Blue I couldn't say I blame you, because it does not appear that the function to play newer games is anywhere close in sight, but you never know. We cannot see what tomorrow holds.

We already know how it is done, but we cannot seem to replicate it. From my understanding they took the sign fail, and exploited it one step further, and generated their own unique keys. The dongle works as appldr when detected by the ps3. I may have put that extremely wrong but I am going off of very little sleep. In other words, they found the means to decrypt newer eboots, and then signed them with their own set of keys. That is why we call it reDRM.

Not a complete answer but research and look into another dongle called Cobra.

google something called rgh or jtag or even playing burned games on 360, you will get your answers

360 with LT3.0 is better than True Blue because you can have Xbox Live. The RGH/Jtag, well it ****s all over a MFW PS3 but it not live safe by any means, and should not be used on Live. Oh and the best part, neither will make you buy a crappy dongle. You will have to buy the components to do the RGH but that is because it is a hardware mod. Well they are both hardware mods but a flashed drive is as simple as hooking your drive up to a PC via SATA cable. Also everything knowledge wise is free with a 360. You do not have people trying to make money from "scene" knowledge. People do sell components, and moding services, but you cant expect anyone to work on your electronics for free.

A MFW PS3 is cool, but it has been at a stand still for some time. Also if you look at the devs behind a lot of PS3 related stuff, you will see the same names in the wii and 360 scenes.
