You dont need theese settings. Just make sure you start the program ONCE. When you start the program TWICE then QA is OFF again. So it goes ON-OFF-ON-OFF .
Just start it,and then go to recovery and flash 3.41 OFW. Thats it.

I combined this tutorial with tutorial from TDPOWER,the easiest way.

-Read backup,and make sure its valid,with e3 dump checker,and flowrebuilder (jhax tutorial how to check the dump)
-Patch it with patcher
-Flash back patched backup
-Insert downgrade dongle
-Downgrade like in the tutorial to rogero 3.1 with usb stick
-Start QA TOGGLE (no need for settings,just make sure ps3 beeps and restarts)
-Downgrade to OFW 3.41 via recovery
-Upgrade to 3.55 OFW
-Choose kmeaw or rogero or any other custom firmware.

Thats it.

You don't have to patch your backup and flash it back. I don't think that is easier, since that step is not needed.

I forgot to write that. I wrote ,like in jhax tutorial, ps3devwiki included,just forgot to write it here. Devwiki is the safest check ,i like to check with all 3 ways,didnt know that e3 dump checker is bsht so will not use it anymore.

Yes. I've done about 15 ps3's with my e3 flasher. And have never patched and flashed.

Yes.
They recommend to update to the latest firmware then downgrade. But I have on 3.60, 3.72, 4.00, 4.10, and 4.11.

What I have learned is that you are not actually flashing. You are unlocking the nor and inserting the e3_downgrade.bin file into the nor. Which allows you to trick the ps3 to be able to downgrade to a firmware that has no lv1 checks.
Then once you are on 3.55 with the no check you can do a qa flag downgrade to OFW than update back to OFW3.55 and there is no longer any need to trick the ps3 anymore(Except for the qa flag, do not ever run the qa flag app again, or I believe you will brick).

Or something like that. LOL. I am still learning too.

From what I can tell though you don't actually have to use flash fun mode unless you are recovering from a brick or dual booting.

Hi thanks for reply, it did go black and beep 3 times but i didn't realize i had to press all at once.

anyways i found an lv1 no check tcl file and modified rebug's firmware because they already have the debug menu just needed to toggle qa flag without button combo, from there i was able to downgrade to any firmware below 3.55 to make sure it was QA Flagged.

Your tutorial was great worked like a charm to downgrade but i had to cut a small piece off of the nor clip for it to sit flush after noticing their was a small mark on the clip where the capacitor touched so shaving it off helped but the plastic is very soft, please note i kept placing the clip on as i shaved it so i wouldn't take too much off. My nor actually sits horizontal not vertical.

sorry thought i'd mention this in case some are in the same boat as i am

OK got my E3 flasher but got a slight problem when I get to the point of backup the nor and I have switch 3 up and the rest down I press start and all I get is blue light 1 2 and 7 flashing non stop.

Any ideas ?

hey, i have this problem:
"i downgraded a ps3 slim cech2511B Fw 4.0 to 3.55 with e3. i'm now using a trueblue dongle v2 with TrueBlue v2.5 but the games in BD-R (pes12) dont play not show in tag games, apparently is not opening. i already tray Remarry BD Drive On Firmware 3.55 Posted by GregoryRasputin but didn't work out effect. ps. The bd movie work perfectly and minimal fw back is 3.50."

can i use the QA TOGGLE for back a OFW 3.41 if my minimal fw back is 3.50 and why? if yes i tray it to solve my problem dont play backup BD-R with True Blue in ps3 Downgrade.
