Ok i got a e3 flasher installed inn to me ps3 fat. I have started to try geting it to work and i make a back up and i have 3 files that say bkpps30,bkpps31,bkpps32. i copied files to cpu for safe keeping. Do i leave all of them on the sd card?

i have used the update for the flasher from 11/22/2011.

So here were it starts going crazy when i go to make the restore the led start blinking 01001000 means cant read card. os triend to skip that step cuz one tutorials didnt do it and just tried to put in e3_downgrade.bin. It started flashing 11001000 says Wrong PS3 version, not supported at present.

So now i am stuck and dont know were to go or what to do for sure.

Then i would also like to have help jailbraking with e3.

Try and follow my guide below. If you only want to go to rogero cfw u can stop after that part of the guide.

i did fellow it and when i went to downgrade to 3.55 it didnt do any thing but flash on the e3 flasher 11001000

Try and start over and use the samsung update.bin that is in the downgrade any pack.

Make another backup too, just to make sure it is working properly.

ok i have tried twice this morning and i get to the downgrade part and it flashes on the
e3 leds 11001000 looked it up says the Metldr.2 model undowngradable my ps3 is a CECHL01

That is strange. That model is a nor model and should work, even says on the e3 site.

I actually have a CECHL01. I haven't downgraded it yet, but I will tonight. And see if I run into the same problems.

This is what that code says on the E3 Flasher Limited Operation Manual:

11001000 Wrong PS3 version, not supported at present

EDIT - Take a look at this thread. Just look at how the OP fixed the problem, the other guys don't know what they are talking about.
Looks like you may need to try and make sure the clip is on good enough. It can be a pain sometimes.
