but that is the only possible thing i could explain or come to my sense, as it worked on that slim.
i have played with debug right after fsm appeared, without any flasher and my fat cechl04 is still alive... if you do not believe me, it's fine for me. and i have not said people should try my ****. i have only told my experiences... edit tbh, it is something i always wanted, but i don't think the devs will ever release the real working method. and i have read even from deank some folks are able and do cash with this. Either way putting this together with the ObjSuites tutorial that was released a few months ago should work, the only thing missing in that tutorial is how to get the proper IDPS and we now should have figured this out. I'd try this myself if I could...

after your toldings, i have retried it with my qa enabled cechl, and it works there now too without any idps changings. so there is nothing about that cex/dex qa difference. the only difference is, it seems i cannot call that qa menu with button combo on debug fw. ok, maybe there is some other flag for debug to enable a cex qa like menu?
i flashed it some time ago with that dg pup after 4.00 dg and there i had a brick without any qa flag edit trying the debug pkg installer gives 80029567 error and playing a game reboots console to that pseudo recovery menu. now i remember they also told me this fsm install is only partial debug fw install. hm, now after further testing, i cannot install from xmb or recovery debug fw. so this must have been affected by that idps 6th byte on my slim as it worked there. too bad i was not very serious about it when testing on my slim so i have not tried alot with it. i have changed those bytes just for fun and because i have tried to fix rsod on it and did some weird things to fix. dont forget you also have to change EID5 .. not only EID0
also changing to 0x81 (decr) is a much better way to go than using 0x82 (debug) just saying .. Last edited by badhabit; 03-15-2012 at 07:52 AM. |

maybe it was not clear, but i have changed both regions on that slim and i was able to install debug fw from xmb without error or corrupt message. but the error on the pkg installer was the same. maybe after this i had to do this remarriage? but if i put in a disc, it gets recognized.
right now i am too lazy to build up the flasher in my cechl even if it is only the e3, nor i want to install linux. i only saw this thread and wanted to post my experiences (as it is still some secret wish) edit the decr target id is only useful in combination with its decr pup and as it has different hardware, not useful in my eyes on a retail but to my knowledge the fancy stuff only works on decr and i like those decr-1000 from design most. why? you think i am trolling? go, and test it for yourself, if you not believing me. i want this thing come up so badly, more than any other 3.56+ fokin cfw and not because of piracy. this is something special and is some real power over the machine if you can convert between each other.

Not quite. DEX and CEX motherboards are exactly the same (except for the CEX motherboard having a different RSX that is unable to disable HDCP). DECR boards have a lot of difference and you will most likely brick if you try to change a CEX (or even a DEX) to DECR.

So, anyone here with a flasher is willing to test conversion with ObjectiveSuites?
