Downgrading from 4.11 - PS3Hax Network

Hey everyone, I am kind of new to the whole posting to forums thing so I'm sorry if I am posting this in the wrong area, but I really need some help and any would be greatly appreciated.

I am running version 4.11 on my PS3 and I am wanting to downgrade to the 3.55 to jailbreak my system....
Is this possibile? If so is there a specific program that I need to use to do so and how is the best way to go about doing it. I know how to install the actually jailbreak files because I have done it before. I just do not know anything about downgrading the firmware...Please help much appreciated again! thanks

can downgrade be done without eflasher from fw3.7, like from3.55to3.41 with QAflag method, or is the flasher needed for 3.7+ or 3.7 to 3.55???

You need the e3 or progskeet. Anything above 3.55 you need a flasher.

Thanks....so qaflag don't work with 3.56+ only3.55- right?
Anybody know what soft downgradeing means?

Ok. Yeah I read that earlier, but I only saw where you could downgrade from 3.7x to 3.55. Will e3 or progskeet work for downgrading from 4.11 as well? thanks

It needs updating, but have a guess. Do you think it went from needing hardware back to needing software?

Yes. It works with 4.00, 4.10, 4.11, and probably the next update too.
