According to sony, i need these ports:
TCP: 80, 443, 3478, 3479, 3480, 5223, 8080
UDP: UDP: 3478, 3479

Since I got an airport extreme, i followed this guide:

And I still can't get nat type 2! Have I missed something?

So then I plugged my PS3 directly into my router...it is wired connection now with ehternet cat 5.....and guess what, i am still on NAT TYPE 3! How could this be? the mystery seemed to be to complex for me to figure out, so I said F.... it, and just accepted it for what it is....to this very day I am wired and have NAT Type 3...when to what I understand it should be NAT TYPE 1 if you use wired, but mine is still on NAT TYPE 3. I am clueless what the problem is.

I had the same problems with portforwarding and/or dmz mode.

this worked for me:

-Enable "Telnet Client" from Windows features.
-Go to Run --> telnet 192.168.1.254 (Or whatever your Modem's password is)
-Enter Modem username and password.

(NOTE: Some Modem's have their username as just Admin, or admin, Administrator, or administrator. Check on Google or consult your modems manual for the username and password. If it's from your ISP you could also try to call them)

Then copy and paste each of the following lines. ONE AT A TIME

:connection bind application=CONE(UDP) port=****-****
:connection bind application=CONE(UDP) port=****-****
:connection bind application=CONE(UDP) port=****-****
:connection bind application=CONE(UDP) port=****-****

If you have an Apple router, maybe you can try enabling NAT-PMP on it?
