i'm not trying to insult anybody, i'm just speaking how i feel.

i honestly...i started on geohot cfw that didn't allow any of this stuff, only homebrew. then i went with rebug, but kept my eye on the scene. no cfw to this day allows you to play ps2 games imported. no pkg file, no managers...nothing. everything favors the slim ps3s.

ever since sony put their foot down, look at who effectively lets you do what you want: tb and the clones (newer ps3 titles), cobra (opens the ps3 wide open), and hardware alternatives (e3, etc).

if he's not doing anything with it, at least those who are doing something might make use of it. and I think cobra would be the best people.

and i wish people would stop tryna mix me in with this and that forum nonsense, i can smell you coming. not tryna internet box any of you. i post where ever i want, thank you

don't blame me because this scene is scattered. I wish everything was easy also. i'm starting to think that one day, we all do eventually need a key like one of these devices. we can't f10 the ps3 with a DS3 or service mode, and to me technically that's all cobra, tb (and clones) are.

I don't necessarily think those who don't pay don't deserve HEN. If he wants to just "let it go to waste" by giving it to everybody for free, then so be it. idc...I voted don't release it. whatever he does, there is slight hope I guess.

if he gives it to a team like cobra, they're going to charge anyway. it may or may not boost everyone to first cfw 4.x but there is hope and to me they are good enough to pretty much get a donation up front because time has already shown nobody has functionality like them.

if he gives it to those he trusts, who knows what we'll see.

if sony blocks it, everyone may or may not be on cfw 4.11 if it gets in the right hands regardless. and even if someone does get cfw 4.11, will old ps2's play all ps2 games region free?

i'm just going by what i see. cobra made use of MM, maybe they can make good use of HEN. both are...available, lets put it like that, for any intents and purposes.

There would be nothing to stop cobra or TB making use of it still and locking it to their dongle (if it had anything they needed at all)

Your suggestion does nothing but leave those who still believe in values out.

Also, I doubt you would have thought about it but a mass release would force these dongle teams to make better progress in order to sway people to buy rather than use a free version.

If you simply want everything to be locked down and paid for, OFW is where its at.

But seriously, I doubt that this HEN has anything they could use, especially with dual boot options already out there
