Sadly @Pirate took names from an old list that was made when @GregoryRasputin (temporary) stepped down because of the JBK ads and a few other mods also stepped down for the same reason as Greg. the good people on this site didn't want to have the mod status if it had to go this way and didn't solicitate for the job....

I can't say the same for the other 3 but I only submitted my app. just a few weeks ago myself. I wasn't on any "old list" ( that I know of o_O ). I never solicited for the "position" In fact, I'm a bit surprised myself. And to be honest too ( also not naming names ) I thought some other people might have been culled before I.

Might I add though, that it doesn't all necessarily come down to post count or how long a person has been a regular (though I'm sure it has its weight) but how the person gets along with other members and staff on the site as well (and knowledge and "leet skillz"? :P)

Maybe it's cause I'm Canadian, eh?

also wanted to add that I didn't apply just because Greg stepped down. I'm not that kind of person at all. I knew Greg would be back. He's been here, what.. 5 years now? If he left that'd be like Oreo losing.. it's...filling.
