Hello Guys & Girls

Hello just joined here today and already found a lot of useful info, I have just brought a PS3 (not new) and will be hacking it slowly, first thing on my list is to upgrade the 120gb HDD to 1TB so I can store more games on the HDD, most of the games I have downloaded are over 4gb so it won't fit on a FAT32 HDD so I have stored them onto a NTFS HDD, hopefully I can transfer them to the PS3 hard drive using MULTIMAN ???

Cheers
JT

From an external hard drive the PS3 doesn't recognize anything more than FAT32. What you can do is swap out the internal hard drive with a 1TB 9.5mm 2.5in hard drive. That is the way to get those games to recognize. I installed one in my ps3 and it works great.

Here is a newegg link: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16822236173

Make a note that the hard drive has to be 9.5mm in order to fit inside the ps3.

multiMAN does have a "read only" NTFS driver for copying games as well as nethost and ftp that supports NTFS

from what I've read many users have installed 12.5mm height internal HDDs in their slim model PS3s without the drive cage

You can use the thicker 2.5" hdd's you just have to make a small adjustment on the ps3 do dont worry if that's what you can get hold of cheaper.
