You can't compare the two, they aren't even the same thing, nor same type of thing.

sure they are.
they allow you to play games that are restricted by sony. they are technically necessary to run certain other software with ease. they are sold on a type of storage medium. disc/dongle, they both hold data. they both have to be in the ps3 at certain times for their functionality. hmm.
well, i think TB is the most evil of the two..to whom it may concern. but, they're technically no different in their purpose. |

Nothing evil about SwapMagic in my opinion. I 1st used SwapMagic for my USA imports on my PAL console. Then, yes, I used it for backups and then for booting homebrew from usb. I didnīt have to wait for a business warez group to release DRM elfs or buy pirated games on disc. I guess the most evil thing of SM is that they used the boot sector from an original game on their pressed discs. Crazy Taxi for the cd not sure about the DVD. the 1sy SM cd used the boot sector from DVD region X Like I said though with SM i am not limited to only SM releases. TB, you get what they give you....with DRM Iīm not sure what you mean by hacking SM. Yes, you can download an ISO of SM to burn on disc. since itīs not a pressed disc itīs not much use unless you only have an older version of SM or are using another disc trick. SM was also compiled into an elf so I would say it was pretty much hacked. I have a few SM disc and never cared if it was hacked or not. I got no problem with spending money on hardware to hack a device. I donīt spend money on DRM hacking devices because of DRM so IMO, TB sucks the big one and I canīt wait for it to be hacked

While we're at it, we might as well compare gerbils and pancakes, because the comparison makes just about as much sense as yours. I actually used SM to softmod my PS2 way back when, and I never really used it for anything else, so no, I don't think SM is remotely comparable on the evil scale to something like the blue dildozer.

Swap Magic
True Blue
So you see, they have nothing in common, they are not alike, they are not the same. |
