PSP GO Generic USB Cable Question
I just got a PSP go for cheap all seems to be working fine except the fact that when I put it into usb mode and connect it to a pc (Windows 7 and xp) or a ps3 (3.55 Rebug) it does not connect, it just continues to say connect to a ps3 or pc.
My only thought as to why its not working is that when I looked on the sony site for info on the psp go I noticed there image of the USB cable has a Sony Logo and the one I have doesn't, so I thought perhaps it was a generic cable that was only usable for charging. Any help or suggestions would be great. Thanks. |

It has to be something else. I have never bought Sony's overpriced USB cable.
You say you're able to charge the PSPGo with the cable, correct? Then it should allow you access to the memory card and internal 16GB memory. Try with a different cable to be sure.

Just got back from the stores. found a cable for $15 official sony, plugged it in and worked like a charm. No idea why the generic one i have will only charge and not do data transfer though
