I'm willing to try this, But I have a couple questions.

1) If I replace he HD in my PS3 slim (just bought it a couple months ago new 3.66 FW IIRC)will it damage anything Firmware-wise, not software wise?

2)If not, will replacing the original HD back into it afterward do anything?

Because I have a 160 Gig laptop HD just sitting here on my desk collecting dust.
I don't have FIFA, but I do have MGS4 and Fallout 3.. I've already watched a video on how to remove the HD and understand it's SATA ect... I can video the results if need be. and actually planned on this.

Actually, mirkie.. They have a point.. although their tact in this situation is lacking. You come here and offer an "exploit" and no proof that it works other than "word of mouth" so to speak.

I've gotten almost everything ready.. just waiting on my camera's battery to charge.gonna start out the video with powering on my PS3 and showing what FW version is installed.

I have provided the PS3 scene with endless hours of my love and dedication, i have provided it with a history that one can go and read when ones chooses to, i have provided several hours of my personal time, helping some developers test their homebrew, i could go on and on and on and on and on and on, but i will chose not to.

What i will say, is that you need to provide proof, it is one thing saying you have done something, but if you cannot prove it, then how can people give you a fair judgement, how can people truly say if it is real or fake, they can only say it is fake, due to what we already know and what we know, tells us that this is not possible.

Now if you can provide proof, i am more than willing to help you, but if you cannot provide proof, then there is nothing anyone can do.....

OK, i'm trying this right now.
I've connected PS3 hdd to my PC and it said it has no partitions on it. Then i reconnect hdd to PS3 and now it says it needs to reformat system partion of hdd and reinstall system software. To do this it asks me to connect some media with ofw 4.11 or higher. I have RDR disc in it and when i press START + SELECT PS3 searches for FW but not finding it.
So, either my RDR disc not contains FW pup or this metod is bull****.

Alright, now put 4.11 on a usb and keep the disc inside. Then try again. Thats what i did
