Not sure what you are saying? Is bad and unik dmp = bad dump? If you have errors with your dump you do not want to flash it to your nor.

What kind of sd card are you using?

Try a 2gb or less sandisc. If you are using that, then try to format with the quick box unchecked.

Could be a problem with your sd card.

Just kept trying and it came.

Its too late for the two phat consoles, I will have to buy a solder iron and learn to solder.
Both phat consoles just give a black screen and go off after a few seconds, been reading on the forum and I am not the only one who suffered with this problem.

To be honest though it may be a blessing in disguise, if I'm serious about this hobby then at some point I need to learn to use a soldering iron.
I'm just thankful that I have a good bios dump.

Can I ask a question which side of the mobo is the nor transate point ?

cause it stays on until i turn it off ..

and i don't use hdmi i use AV cable ..

Yes, you can. You would need to for some slims that can only go to 3.50.

Try and put the files from the step 1 folder on a flash drive, and rename the pup file to PS3UPDAT.PUP.
Put it in the right usb port and turn on your ps3.
If all goes well it will shut off in about 4 minutes.
Then boot up the ps3 and see if it works.

If not, I would suggest following the unbrick guide to get you back to good.

hi,

thanks for your help, a had a faulty sd card, i took a good backup and downgraded

now i have put my e3 card reader on the 2nd usb port, did the power and eject method, however the ps3 never turns off, moreover when i had switched on after the downgrade, a message showed that the ps3 cannot launch 4.11 something like that, just after i turned off the main switch a message was displayed to connect the controller through a usb, like you said i did not do that but when i went to switch off the power, that message quickly showed up,

any help?

UPDATE:

after searching, i found out that the e3 card reader should light up red and shortly blue, however mine only lit up red, and the ps3 never went off, do i need to update the e3 card reader? and which would i have to use?

UPDATE 2:

i found out that i had to put an e3 downgrader file in the e3 card reader, i did the power and eject trick, red lit up and blue shortly afterwards, and the ps3 switched off on its own, however when i turned on the ps3 to check whether it went on factory service mode, the ps3 does not go on, it switches on but shortly turns off with no display or anything

UPDATE 3:

moreover i put the 2 files of step 1 into the usb drive, put in the 2nd usb, however it does not do round 3 to 5 minutes, just a few seconds and it turns off, its like it got stuck in factory service mode

i read that if i put the file from folder 2, i can put it out of factory mode, but it doesn't want to work, it keeps on switching off, i dunno what's wrong, did i screw everything?

soooooooo another update xD, um i unbricked it by soldering a wire through spe and nor tristate, and succesfully went back to 4.11, now its on 4.11 and factory service mode, is that strange? btw when in factory mode, do all games and other files get deleted? cause i am in 4.11, factory service mode and no data, though i still have that i have only 30gb remaining

so on another note, i guess i bricked it when i put in factory service mode with e3 card reader, did i do it correctly? i mean was it good the way it worked? like putting the e3 upgrader file into the corresponding folder and than putting it on the 2nd usb, power eject trick and red and blue and turn off automatically..sounds good but i think that was the point where it bricked, i dunno

hi, even me bricked my console, it was a cechl03, samsung nor, this video will show you where the transate or whatever it is called is..

it works, cause i did it and succesfully unbricked, btw i guess you used the softboard as well, be careful when you solder the softboard is really sensitive in case you remove the solder point, pierce the spe point with a needle and pass the wire, than solder the end so it wont losen up, i did it and it worked

mine was like this as well, restored but still stuck in FSM. and you cannot get out until back to 3.55.

Just follow THIS tut again and downgrade but this time skip the bit where u try to get into FSM using your dongle, since you are already in !!! Just plug in your USB drive. Formatted FAT32 with the files in Step 2 folder and con't.

i was downgrading a cechh06 console,during downgrade operation with e3_downgrade.bin, i messed with xmb setting and suddenly i got error on e3.then my console had ylod.what is making it worse the dump i made came out with error.

so i soldered sbe tristate and got my console boot up but no video and audio on tv and no working sign of hdd.with some advice,i make new dump and someone patched the dump.

i reflashed back and makes no difference (no video and audio on tv).

but i did backup again the dump and compared both is ok

now i have no idea what to do.please help me :P

So that means, I skip step 1 as well? Or I still do it? I think that if I skip step 1 and leave factory service mode I would be in just a 3.55 version ps3 or not? Btw should I take another bios backup this time or leave with the one I had before?
