Going to buy a PS3
Hey im probably going to buy a ps3 today and am interested in trying out jailbreak or CFW, anyone know what one i should buy? I'm asking because I know that there's a chance i may get one with a firmware that is too current, so my question is, is there a way to tell if the one im buying is or not? does that make sense?

If you're seeking a PS3 under or at 3.55 FW...your best bet is to start with pawn shops so they can boot it up and you can verify the FW before purchasing.
Buying new.....that's a little tougher unless you get a PS3 that's bundled with a game but not with the PS Move. See here: http://www.ps3hax.net/showthread.php...ighlight=guide

If u don't have a chance to check PS at the store - u'd better buy a used one. And don't forget that 30 console series can't be JBroken

I would go to your local game store and buy a used one, This way you can ask to see what firmware it has installed.
I do that all the time they should already have a spot setup to test consoles so just say I want to by a ps3 but I need it to have 3.55 fw or lower. I never had any problems at any game store with asking them to hook the console up so I can see what fw was installed.

as others said, your best shot is either get a used one or buy a new one with those older games bundles that are left in stock.

Your BS video is the worst I've ever seen, most at least try to put some effort in it, they use Version Spoofer. you're so lazy in the video it shows you downloading ofw 4.10 not 4.11.

yea i wouldnt've bought that link for a second haha k well my gf insisted on a new one so i went to walmart cuz they are godly when it comes to returning stuff. |I got one with 3.72 if im correct i can downgrade this following the tutorial on the top banner? or is that specifically 3.70?
