hi im new to this site and really want to jail break my ps3.im on 4.11fw and was wondering is this possible at the moment or in the near future

What's you PS3 model # ? e.g CECH???

You'll have to downgrade with a hardware flasher to 3.55FW and that's even if your PS3 can be downgraded and able to downgrade to 3.55 to put CFW/MFW/JB. Click the banner up top labelled "PS3 Scene Status" to learn more.

@stubydoo36 No, it's not possible. If you would look in the banner above it will tell you the current status of JB'ing FW.

@AlexBaka Being a VIP i'd expect an explanation like I gave instead of an asshat response like that.

Well he is a VIP i believe from donations (I assume).. But the scene needs to be more helpful.. If your a noob the scene isnt very welcoming. Everyone was a noob to PS3 hacking at some time.. Everyone knows something from others helping. That's what makes a scene.

The banner is a good start, but it is outdated in terms of downgrading. With 4.11 I see why the question would be asked. Should be a forum for help and development. We get back to those basics the scene will start to turn for the better it always starts from the bottom..

You will have to DownGrade with a downgrade device. However if you have a new model (one that has had 3.56 and higher when purchased you most likely cant Downgrade even with a device.) (i never had to DG so i just know the basics)

There needs to be a slight edit in the banner. The firmware downgrade should be changed from 3.7x to 4.11. As of now, you'll always be able to hardware downgrade.

not always, newer models Block DG, factory FW 3.56 and above when purchased i believe)

I'm a noob to this scene, but I came here to learn and this forum was more active with what appeared more knowledgeable members. I also came here to attempt to help in any way I could, which in all honesty isn't much. But, I do what I can. To be honest, if I had gotten a response like that on my first post, I would have just left. and regretted making another acount i'd never use. But GregoryRasputin took the time to explain some of the technicals to me and help me to sort of understand what is going on inside my PS3.
