okay this week i have been thinking alot about buying a ps3. it will be my first playstation system besides psp. the reason i waited this long to buy a ps3 is because i really really want to play games like KOF XIII, MVC 3, GOW 3...etc that i have waited for over a year now. i found a refurbished ps3 60gb on gamestop.com that cost $230 not including shipping. Did some research and found the 60gb to be the best model in backwards compatibility wise. i also looked up on downgrading the ps3 so i can play backup games which can save me alot of money but it was too hard/complicated and i dont have any modding knowledge. So i gave up on that. Decided to purchase used games as a alternative. But i cant decide if i should buy the latest ps3 160gb one for $250 with warranty, less electric consumption, and no overheating problem. Everything on 160gb ps3 looks nice except no backward compatibility, which is a big problem in the future when i want to play ps2 games that i never played before. i was also thinking if i should wait for ps4 than 3 days ago rumor from a trusted source suggested that ps4 wont be backwards compatible so thats out of the question. I just feel im spending alot of money just to play 3 games that i really want to play. Not to mention if i did get a ps3, ill be getting the x arcade for the fighting games ( cant really play fighting games without arcade style control). overall ill probably spend about $500. any suggestion or advice?

Get a BC one gives you the chance to play the epic ps2 games aswell so your getting more for your money and the ps2 games are way cheaper if you say your tight on money you can get like 50 on eBay for hardy any money if you get bored !

my question was clearly on which system i should buy instead u gave me a answer which was not relevant to my question. is like you didnt even read a single word of it and just start posting. i already stated ill buy used games so why reply local craiglist? when my main question was which system i should buy to get the most out of and i also stated the pros and cons of both system.
ps. as for not wanting to buy new games, i just feel its ridiculous for a game to cost $50-60 when most games has little to no replay value once you beat it. i got the money but just feel, we as a gamer are being over charged for playing games. specially like dlc that are released shortly or right after a new game that just came out. how can people support this type of crap.
